PRIVACY & COOKIES
How Prime Press Records collects, uses and protects your information.
Last updated: 4 September 2026
WHO WE ARE
Prime Press Records Ltd is a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17380363. Registered office: 7 Boxford Lane, Boxford, Sudbury, CO10 5JU, England. For privacy questions, contact enquires@primepressrecords.co.uk.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you place an order, contact us, submit a verified-purchase review or otherwise use the website, we may process information such as your name, email address, delivery address, order details, payment status, order reference, dispatch and tracking information, review content and the contents of messages you send us. Our hosting and security providers may also process limited technical information such as IP address, browser or device information and server logs.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use personal information to process and fulfil orders, take payment, arrange delivery, send order and dispatch emails, provide customer service, respond to enquiries, administer verified-purchase reviews, prevent misuse or fraud, maintain the security and operation of the website, and meet our accounting, tax and other legal obligations.
OUR LAWFUL BASES
Where UK data-protection law applies, we generally process order and delivery information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you; retain information where necessary to comply with legal obligations; and use limited information where necessary for our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the service, responding to enquiries and preventing misuse. Where consent is legally required, for example for any future non-essential cookies or marketing, we will ask for it separately.
PAYMENTS
Website payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prime Press Records does not receive or store your full card number. Stripe processes payment and related information under its own privacy terms and may use necessary technology to provide and secure its checkout service.
DELIVERY & SERVICE PROVIDERS
We share only the information reasonably needed to provide the relevant service. This can include delivery details with Royal Mail / Click & Drop for fulfilment, email and order information with Resend for transactional messages, and website or order data with our database and hosting providers, including Supabase and Render. These providers process information to support the services they provide to Prime Press Records and may have their own privacy information.
REVIEWS
If you submit a review through a verified-purchase review link, we use the order link to confirm that the review relates to a genuine website purchase. Reviews are held for moderation and are not published on the website until approved. Published reviews may display the reviewer name or label supplied for publication together with the review content.
COOKIES & LOCAL BROWSER STORAGE
Prime Press Records does not currently intentionally use advertising or analytics cookies. The website uses local browser storage to remember items placed in your basket. Essential technologies may also be used by our hosting, security and checkout providers where necessary to operate their services. If we introduce non-essential cookies, analytics or similar tracking in future, this notice and any required consent choices will be updated before they are used.
HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention or dispute-handling requirements. Records that form part of the company's accounting and tax records may need to be retained for up to six years from the end of the relevant financial year, or longer where the law requires. Enquiry and customer-service information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised when reasonably practicable.
YOUR DATA-PROTECTION RIGHTS
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to be informed about our use of your information and to request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, or to object to certain processing. Some rights do not apply in every situation, particularly where information must be retained to meet a legal obligation. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise a privacy right or ask a question, email enquires@primepressrecords.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how your personal information is handled.
